Who sits the desk

Four people, one filing standard, a door on Jalan Methodist.

Kernel Portal Hub is a small independent practice. We review how employers handle job applications. We are not a recruitment agency, not a software vendor, and not a substitute for your employment counsel.

Why the practice exists

Hiring files in East Malaysia are often a mix of walk-in books, forwarded PDFs, agency spreadsheets, and a careers page that nobody fully owns. When a complaint, a PDPA question, or a new HR lead arrives, the trail has to be rebuilt from memory. We started the desk so that rebuild could happen on purpose, with a sample and a letter, before it happens under pressure.

The office is at 728, Bangunan Mula Jaya, Jalan Methodist, 96400 Sibu. Field weeks run across Sarawak. Remote review is possible when the sample can be exported without inventing a neater folder the night before.

The reviewers

You will know who is opening your files. We do not rotate anonymous “resources” through an engagement.

Portrait of Farah Abdullah

Farah Abdullah

Principal, application audits

Farah leads scoping and the findings workshop. She spent years inside employer HR teams in Sarawak before moving to independent file review, and she still reads a vacancy the way a candidate would.

Portrait of Lim Wei Ming

Lim Wei Ming

Intake and records reviewer

Wei Ming reconstructs how packs actually arrive — counters, mailboxes, portals, agencies — and scores completeness without pretending a rebuilt folder is the original trail.

Portrait of Priya Nair

Priya Nair

Retention and notice specialist

Priya compares what application forms promise with what shared drives still hold. She writes the mismatch tables that make PDPA conversations specific instead of abstract.

Portrait of Hafiz Rahman

Hafiz Rahman

Field lead, East Malaysia

Hafiz runs on-site weeks outside the Sibu desk: mill offices, clinic groups, project camps. He is the person who will sit with a paper walk-in book until the dates make sense.

What we will not do

We will not shortlist your candidates, write job ads as a marketing service, or implement an applicant system. If a finding points to wording or a form change, we can draft it as a follow-on, in the same plain language as the letter.

We will not pretend a findings letter is legal advice. Your lawyer remains the person who tells you what the law requires. We tell you what the file shows.
