What the banner is for
The banner at the bottom of the site asks whether we may remember your choice. Accepting or rejecting does not change which pages you can read, and it does not stop a briefing form from sending. There is no paywall and no “essential cookies only” trick.
What we store
If you choose Accept or Reject, the browser keeps a value under the key kernelportalhub_cookie_consent in localStorage. That is a small piece of storage on your device, not a third-party cookie. It exists so the banner can stay away on later visits.
If you ignore the banner, nothing is stored for that purpose and the banner may show again.
What we do not store
We do not set advertising cookies. We do not drop analytics cookies from this site. We do not fingerprint your device to recognise you across other websites.
How long it lasts
The preference stays until you clear site data for kernelportal-hub.digital or until you overwrite it by choosing again (if you clear data, the banner returns). We do not expire it on a hidden timer.
How to change your mind
Clear this site’s stored data in your browser settings. On the next visit the banner will ask again. You can also write to briefings@kernelportal-hub.digital if you want confirmation that we are not running extra trackers.
