The last mile of the file
Offer and rejection trail
Offers made by phone and never confirmed in writing sit beside rejection emails that never left a drafts folder. We rebuild the trail so you can see where a candidate was left waiting, and where a manager created a promise the organisation cannot defend.
Indicative duration: 6–9 working days. A firm timetable sits in the engagement letter after we see the sample.
Documents in scope
Offer letters, verbal offer logs, salary exception notes, rejection templates, and any “keep on file” messages. We also check whether a second-choice candidate was held without consent while the first offer was in play.
What “closed” should mean
A vacancy is not closed because someone started. It is closed when every remaining application has a dated outcome. We mark files that are still technically open months after the start date.
You take away
- Outcome trail for sampled vacancies
- Unclosed application list
- Offer-authority gaps
- Close-out checklist for HR
If this is not the right cut of the file, the full list of reviews may fit better. To talk through scope, ask the desk for a briefing.
